3rd Day/Sun - WARSAW. Highlights of your half-day tour include Old Town rebuilt with great care after WWII, with its Old Market Square, the Barbican, and St. John's Cathedral, Warsaw's oldest church. Continue to Jewish Ghetto Memorial and along the Royal Route to the 18th century Lazienki Park with a beautiful monument of F. Chopin. Balance of day free to disover Warsaw on your own. (B,L) 4th Day/Mon - WARSAW/Czestochowa/Auschwitz/ZAKOPANE. After breakfast, depart for Zakopane. En route, visit the Jasna Gora Monastery with the Black Madonna Shrine, the pilgrimage center of Poland. Continue to Auschwitz Martyrdom Museum of the former Nazi concentration camp. Overnight in Zakopane, the most popular mountain resort hidden in the majestic Tatra Mountains. (B,L) 5th Day/Tue - ZAKOPANE/KRAKOW. Today you will admire breathtaking views of the Tatra Mountains from the top of Gubalowka Mountain. In the afternoon take a fun ride on rafts on the Dunajec River in the Pieniny National Park. Overnight and dinner in Krakow. (B,D) 6th Day/Wed - KRAKOW/Wieliczka. Morning city tour of charming Krakow includes Wawel Coronation Cathedral, Old Town Square, and St. Mary's Church with famous Gothic altar. Enjoy shopping of the Cloth Hall where you can buy folk art souvenirs, crystal, amber, embroidery, etc. In the afternoon, depart for the fascinating Wieliczka Salt Mine, an unforgettable tourist attraction with underground walk through chambers, caves, and chapels all carved from salt. Dinner with folklore show in a local restaurant. (B, D) 7th Day/Thu - KRAKOW/Warsaw/TORUN. This morning, depart for Northern Poland. Stop for lunch in Warsaw. Continue to Torun, a historic Gothic town on the banks of the Vistula River. Overnight in Torun. (B,L) 8th Day/Fri - TORUN/GDYNIA. A city tour of Torun, a marvel of Gothic architecture, includes a visit to the house where Polish astronomer N. Copernicus was born. Be sure to taste here traditional Torun gingerbread. After lunch, depart for the Baltic Coast for overnight. (B,L) 9th Day/Sat - GDYNIA. Today you'll get acquainted with the tri-city area of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. In Oliwa Cathedral hear a short concert on the famous pipe organ, one of its kind in Europe. In Gdansk admire beautifully restored Old Town with St. Mary's Church, Artus Court and Neptune's Fountain. Afternoon at leisure to spend on Gdansk's Dluga Street browsing the shops offering largest selection of amber souvenirs. (B,L) 10th Day/Sun - GDYNIA/Malbork/OLSZTYN. Today, leave for the Mazurian Lakes, one of Poland's favorite vacation areas. En route, stop in Malbork to visit the medieval fortress of Teutonic Knights. This fascinating structure is the largest brick castle in Europe which was a stronghold of mighty Teutonic Knights in the 15th century. After light lunch continue to Olsztyn. Balance of day at leisure to relax. In the evening enjoy a campfire picnic on hotel grounds. (B,L,D) 11th Day/Mon - OLSZTYN/Olsztynek/WARSAW.
