On Friday, depart U.S.A. for Warsaw.

2nd Day/Sat - WARSAW.  At 6 pm meet your guide and the rest of the group in the lobby of the RADISSON SAS Hotel and depart for dinner in a local restaurant.  This evening's highlight is a Chopin concert in one of Warsaw's palaces with glass of wine during the intermission. (D)
If airline tickets are purchased through PAT TOURS, transfer to the hotel on arrival is included in the tour cost.

3rd Day/Sun - WARSAW- Zelazowa Wola.. Morning city tour of Poland's capital includes its most important monuments: the reconstructed Old Town, Ghetto Memorial, beautiful Lazienki Park with famous statue of F. Chopin.  Visit the splendid Royal Castle, residence of last Polish kings. Stop for coffee and taste delicious Polish doughnuts (paczki) at the famous "U Bliklego" Cafe on Nowy Swiat Street(Polish Fifth Ave). In the afternoon depart for Zelazowa Wola(19 miles), home of Polish composer Frederick Chopin. Visit the manor house where he was born in 1810. This evening, enjoy Polish dinner with the Polish family in their charming cottage with folk band and demonstration of traditional Lowicz paper cutouts. (B,D)

4th Day/Mon - WARSAW/Czestochowa/Auschwitz/Wadowice/KRAKOW. After buffet breakfast in your hotel, depart for Czestochowa and visit the Jasna Gora Monastery housing miraculous icon of the Black Madonna and the Treasury. After lunch in local restaurant, next stop is Auschwitz, site of the former Nazi concentration camp, grim remainder of the Holocaust. You will see a short documentary movie about liberation of the camp and  tour the martyrdom museum. Continue to Krakow via Wadowice birthplace of Pope John Paul II. (B,L)

5th Day/Tue - KRAKOW. Today discover treasures of this medieval city: the Old Market Square, the Cloth Hall housing multitude of souvenir shops, St. Mary's Church with famous Gothic altar by Wit Stwosz. Stop for coffee and cake at the famous "Jama Michalika" Cafe. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the magnificent Wawel Castle and the Coronation Cathedral, final resting place of Polish kings and famous Poles. Walk through the castle chambers and admire the magnificent collection of Flemish tapestries and other medieval treasures. Afternoon  time at leisure to discover Krakow on your own. Visit one of the fascinating museums, relax in an outdoor cafe listening to the strolling musicians, or shop for souvenirs. Dinner is on your own. There are many fine restaurants to choose from. (B)

6th Day/Wed - KRAKOW/ZAKOPANE This morning depart for the most popular vacation resort of Zakopane hidden in the majestic Tatra Mountains. Here, you may shop for intricate wood carvings and other arts and crafts of the local mountaineers-Gorale. This evening's dinner is at a typical highlander's cottage with entertainment by the local highlanders, "Gorale". Overnight in Hotel Kasprowy beautifully situated overlooking the Zakopane Valley. 7th Day/Thu - ZAKOPANE//Wieliczka/WARSAW. After breakfast, depart for Wieliczka Salt Mine. Here, on 2-mile tourist route below the surface discover underground chapels, grottos and lakes carved in the rock salt. Preserved for its unique micro-climate it also houses a sanatorium for asthma and allergy patients.  After light lunch, return to Warsaw for farewell dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)

8th Day/Fri - WARSAW. After breakfast, termination of tour services. (B)
