Free day to rest. Time to unpack and change money. (B)
If transatlantic airline tickets are purchased through PAT TOURS, transfer to the hotel on arrival is included in the tour cost.

3rd Day/Mon - WARSAW. Meet the rest of the group at 6:00 PM in the hotel lobby. Welcome dinner. (B,D) 

4th
Day/Tue - WARSAW. Highlights of your half-day guided tour include the Old Town, rebuilt with great care after WW II, with its colorful Old Market Square, the Barbican defense walls, St. John's Cathedral. Continue to Jewish Ghetto Memorial and along the Royal Route to Lazienki Park created by the last king of Poland in the 18th century. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Wilanow Palace, called the "Polish Versailles", built as summer residence by King Jan Sobieski known for the victorious battle over the Turks in 1683. (B,D)

5th Day/Wed - WARSAW/Czestochowa/Wadowice/KRAKOW. After breakfast, depart South for Krakow. En route, stop in Czestochowa, the pilgrimage center of Poland.  Tour the Jasna Gora Monastery and the Black Madonna Shrine with miraculous icon. After lunch continue to Wadowice, birthplace of Pope John Paul II. Overnight in Krakow. Your hotel is situated in the heart of the city within a short walk to all the tourist attractions. (B,L)

6th Day/Thu - KRAKOW-Wieliczka. This morning tour of the medieval city of Krakow includes the Wawel Castle with the Coronation Cathedral where Polish kings were crowned for four centuries, Old Town Square dominated by the St. Mary's Church with famous Gothic altar, largest in Europe. In the afternoon depart for Wieliczka salt mine and discover its underground wonders. Walk through chambers, grottoes, chapels carved from rock salt. There is even an underground lake and a sanatorium for asthma patients.  (B)

7th Day/Fri - KRAKOW-Zakopane. Today enjoy a whole day excursion to Zakopane, all-year vacation resort hidden in the majestic Tatra Mountains with unique architecture, traditions and lifestyle. Climb the Gubalowka Mountain by a funicular for a spectacular vistas. You will have time to browse through the bazaar of native arts and crafts. Lunch in a typical cottage where you can taste some local specialties. Return to Krakow for overnight. (B, L)

8th Day/Sat - KRAKOW. After breakfast, termination of the tour services. (B)

Optional excursion to Auschwitz, former Nazi concentration camp (93 miles) - $40 per person
