We have designed this new tour to introduce you to the beauty of Poland's off-the-beaten track. You will experience the peacefulness of the countryside and excitement of the historic cities. This is the only tour that will take you from the beauty of the Mazurian Lakes to Boleslawiec, in Western Poland, home of world-famous ceramics.  Everywhere you travel, you will enjoy delicious meals and Polish hospitality. To keep the unique features of this tour, participation is limited.

On Monday, depart U.S.A. for Warsaw.

2nd Day/Tue - WARSAW. Meeting with all participants and your guide at 6 p.m. at the lobby of your hotel. Welcome dinner and overnight in Warsaw. (D)
If transatlantic airline tickets are purchased through PAT TOURS, transfer to the hotel on arrival is included in the tour cost.

3rd Day/Wed - WARSAW. After buffet breakfast the city sightseeing of Warsaw will introduce you to Polish capital's major sites including the Old Town and Lazienki Park and Palace, the splendid summer residence of last Polish king.  In the afternoon visit the Army Museum for introduction to the Polish history.  Balance of day at leisure for your own activities. 4th Day/Thu - WARSAW/Kadzidlo/MAZURIAN LAKES. This morning depart for peaceful Mazurian Lake District. En route stop in Kadzidlo village where you will get acquainted with Kurpie folklore, traditional dishes and art of paper cutouts. Overnight at Bed and Breakfast enjoying the home atmosphere and home cooking. This evening participate in the "Mazurian wedding" party or a country fair. (B, D)

5th Day/Fri - MAZURIAN LAKES. Today you will spend a leisurely  day discovering the attractions of this popular vacation area. Take a relaxing ride on the Mazurian Lakes, see the Sw. Lipka, most beautiful sanctuary of the area with miraculous icon, and visit the Owczarnia museum which will acquaint you with the village life of yesterday.   (B, L)

6th Day/Sat - MAZURIAN LAKES/Malbork/GDANSK. After breakfast depart for the Baltic Coast. En route stop in Malbork and tour the fascinating 15th century castle of the mighty Teutonic Knights. After lunch continue to the Baltic Coast for overnight. (B,L)

7th Day/Sun - GDANSK  After breakfast orientation tour of this major maritime center of Poland, birthplace of Solidarity movement. Continue to Oliwa cathedral for a concert on the magnificent pipe organ, one of its kind in Europe. Today you will also visit the amber factory. See a demonstration how raw amber is made into a lustrous pieces. You can also do some shopping at discount prices. Afternoon at leisure to spend in Gdansk's Old Town or as you please. (B, D)

8th Day/Mon - GDANSK/POZNAN/RYDZYNA. This morning depart via Kaszuby region for Poznan, cradle of the Polish nation.  Visit the Poznan Cathedral with tombs of first Polish kings of Piast Dynasty in the 10th century. This evening, weather permitting, enjoy a kielbasa roast at the Rydzyna Park. (B, D

9th Day/Tue - RYDZYNA/Boleslawiec/WROCLAW. Your motor coach departs today for Western Poland and the town of Boleslawiec, famous for ceramic works. Visit the factory store and buy some souvenirs at great prices. You will also visit the Borawski Glass Works where you will see the incredible glass creations being made.Overnight in Wroclaw. (B, D)

10th Day/Wed - WROCLAW. After breakfast sightseeing tour of  Wroclaw, the historic city on the Odra River. See the beautifully renovated Market Square, one of the largest in Europe, the 13th century Town Hall and Wroclaw University with magnificent baroque Leopoldine Hall. The highlight of your tour is viewing of the fascinating "Panorama Raclawicka" a huge diaroma depicting the battle of Tadeusz Kosciuszko against the imperial Russian army. Continue for overnight in Wroclaw.  (B, L)

11th Day/Thu - WROCLAW/Czestochowa/Wadowice/KRAKOW. This morning depart for Poland's pilgrimage center, the Monastery of Jasna Gora (the Bright Mountain). See the shrine of the Black Madonna and the treasury with priceless gifts given to the Pauline Monastery throughout the centuries. Continue to Krakow via Wadowice, birthplace of Pope John Paul II. Overnight in Krakow. (B, L)

12th Day/Fri - KRAKOW. Start the day with a city tour of this charming medieval city which until the 14th century was Poland's capital. Highlights include: the Old Town Square, Cloth Hall, St. Mary's Church, Jagiellonian University, and magnificent Wawel Royal castle and Coronation Cathedral where Polish kings were crowned. In the Castle chamber admire the priceless collection of tapestries and other medieval treasures.  Afternoon at leisure for optional excursions to the fascinating Wieliczka salt mine or Oswiecim, former Nazi concentration camp. 13th Day/Sat - KRAKOW/Zakopane/KRAKOW. Today enjoy a whole day excursion to Zakopane, all-year vacation resort hidden in the majestic Tatra Mountains with unique architecture, traditions and lifestyle.  Climb the Gubalowka Mountain by a funicular  for a spectacular vistas. You will have time to browse  through the bazaar of  native arts and crafts. Lunch on your own in a typical cottage where you can taste some local specialties. Return to Krakow for a farewell dinner. 14th Day/Sun - KRAKOW. After breakfast termination of tour services. You may extend your stay in Poland or return home. (B)
