depart U.S.A. for Warsaw.
2nd Day/Wed - WARSAW. After arrival at the Okecie Airport in Warsaw, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. At 6:00 pm meet the rest of the group in the hotel lobby. Dinner in your hotel. (D) 3rd Day/Thu - WARSAW. Today, city tour includes: the reconstructed Old Town, its colorful Market Square, St. Mary's Church, Royal Castle Square, the Ghetto Memorial, the beautiful Lazienki Park with Chopin's monument. After lunch in local restaurant, time at leisure do explore Warsaw on your own. (B,L) 4th Day/Fri - WARSAW/Czestochowa/Auschwitz/KRAKOW. This morning a road to Krakow leads via Czestochowa where you'll tour the Jasna Gora Monastery with the miraculous icon of the Black Madonna. After lunch, continue to Oswiecim, site of the former Auschwitz Nazi concentration camp, where unspeakable horrors occurred. Overnight in medieval city of Krakow. (B,L) 5th Day/Sat - KRAKOW. Krakow has more than one thousand monuments of historical and architectural interest. Your tour includes a walking tour of the Old Town and the magnificent Wawel Coronation Cathedral, final resting place of Polish royalty and famous Poles. Afternoon is free to spend as you please. (Entrance fees to Wawel Cathedral and St. Mary's Church are included) (B,D) 6th Day/Sun - KRAKOW/Wieliczka/ZAKOPANE. After breakfast you're off to Zakopane, a resort high in the Tatra Mountains, a great area for walking and hiking and shopping for local folk art. En route stop in Wieliczka Salt Mine, the oldest in Europe. On a 1.2 mile tourist route you will discover chapels, grottoes, lakes and magnificent Cathedral, all carved from rock salt. Overnight in Zakopane. (B,L) 7th Day/Mon - ZAKOPANE. Today you will enjoy a relaxing day. A funicular will take you to the Gubalowka Mountain for spectacular views and great shopping in local bazaar for local arts and crafts of the highlanders (Gorale). (B,D) 8th Day/Tue - ZAKOPANE/WROCLAW This morning your coach heads for Western Poland to the historic city of Wroclaw, called "Venice of the North". Overnight in Wroclaw. (B,D) 9th Day/Wed - WROCLAW/RYDZYNA. Start the day with a guided city tour of Wroclaw which includes its medieval monument, the 13th century Town Hall, the Gothic cathedral, and the awesome diorama depicting the Raclawice Battle. Afternoon drive to Rydzyna and settle-in in the Castle. (B,D) 10th Day/Thu - RYDZYNA/POZNAN/TORUN. After breakfast, depart for Poznan, first capital of Poland in the 11th century. Short tour of the city includes its most important sites. After lunch, continue to Torun for overnight. (B,L) 11th Day/Fri - TORUN/WARSAW This morning you will get acquainted with Torun, the medieval town closely associated with the great Polish astronomer N. Copernicus. After lunch, return to Warsaw for overnight. (B,L) 12th
